Hugo Desmeules is a new media artist and interaction designer based in Montreal, Canada.

    My research interests are in Tangible Media, Mobile Computing, Sound Design, Speech Synthesis, Speech Recognition, Physical Computing, Human Computer Interaction, Robotics and Ubiquitous Computing. I studied Computation Arts at Concordia University where I worked as a TA for the Sensor Lab and as an RA for the Topological Media lab, part of the Hexagram Institute. I then founded and co-organized Dorkbot Montreal (http://dorkbot.org/dorkbotmtl/)

    _E-Shrine (2006-07)
    is a ritualistic coin-op videogame installation that synthesizes your movements into surround sound as a donation to god. Presented at Dorkbot-MTL and Robo Coop for the 4th nuit blanche de Montréal.
